One of the boldest moves that Microsoft made with Windows 8 was the removal of the start button. Not sure what caused them to do so as most of us were unanimous on it being a bad move. Windows has a massive following and a drastic change as such does not go down too well. Microsoft listened and is now planning on bringing the start button back with the Windows 8.1 update and has highlighted it in a new ad for Windows.
