Motorola has officially announced their new phone the Moto X. The Moto X is the first new phone released by Motorola after they were acquired by Google and you can clearly see the influence of the search giant with Moto X.
The phone is available in 18 backplate covers- each one with black or white and a custom camera ring and side mounted buttons giving you a combination of over 500 different designs.
As expected the phone is full of sensors that allow you to use the phone hands-free. The “always listening” mode is activated by saying OK Google Now followed by commands you wish the phone to carry out. Turning the camera on is also as easy as just twisting your wrist three times.
On the specs side, the Moto X is mid-range at best. With a 4.7” 720p display powered by the 1.7GHz dual core SnapDragon 400 processor, the Moto X doesn’t compete with the HTC One or the Samsung Galaxy S4. Instead, Motorola is focusing on delivering you a full day of charge with its 2200mAh battery. You can read up on more specs at the phone’s official page.
Priced at US$199 with a two year contract, we don’t know when the Moto X will hit the Middle East but in the US, it is available across all the major carriers.
